Hair Design School in Lawrenceville

If hair is your passion, Keune Academy by 124 was made with you in mind. Whether you’ve wanted to do hair your whole life or you’re looking to change careers, our Hair Design program can help you get your start!

What You Learn

Our program covers all things hair! It’s a full-time, 1325 hour-long program that can be completed in as little as 9-10 months. Since we opened our doors in 2006, our Hair Design program has been our bread and butter. We’ve spent the years since then refining it to help ensure each student has the chance to reach their potential. At Keune Academy by 124, you can learn about:

  • Hair Cutting
  • Hair Coloring
  • Color Correction
  • Formal Styling
  • Makeup
  • Texturing Services
  • Business Education
  • So much more

Our program is designed to meet the needs and wants of our students. The state of Georgia doesn’t require makeup education in hair design programs, but we’ve made it a part of our program anyway because so many of our students want to study it. We’re also proud of the color correction experience that our students have the chance to get. We want our students to be successful when they graduate, which is why we emphasize this specialized skill.

There is more to being a modern hairstylist than just hair, which is why we also include business education and use industry-leading beauty education software in our program. We’ve partnered with Pivot Point International to deliver a cosmetology curriculum that helps our students learn no matter what kind of learning style works best for them.

What Makes Us Different

At Keune Academy by 124, everything we do is built around our core values: integrity, excellence, teamwork, family, artistry, and fulfillment. This gives us a unique vibe that you can feel from the moment you enter our school. We work hard to make sure our school feels like a family and is a place where all of our students, regardless of their background, can seek fulfillment.

Our program schedule generally follows the Gwinnett County school district holiday schedule, which makes it a great choice for parents with school-aged children. Unlike most beauty schools, our students also get a spring break, summer break, and winter break, along with most major holidays off. That means our students can enjoy these holidays with their friends and family.

A Team Dedicated to Helping You

At Keune Academy by 124, you’ll always know that you are the focus. Our admissions and financial aid specialists can help you find the best way to make beauty school happen for you. The instructors are passionate, dedicated beauty professionals who live our core value of excellence and constantly try to elevate both themselves and their students. We strive for open communication because that is how we come together as a team and school family. We’ve found that when students and instructors come together with an openness to learning, everyone becomes better as a result!

While we can’t guarantee employment for any of our graduates, we have worked hard to understand and develop strong relationships with salons throughout the area. This enables us to help each graduate identify salons that could be a good fit for them as an individual, whether that’s a luxury, high-end salon in downtown Atlanta, a boutique salon here in Lawrenceville, or anywhere in between.
