“You can be anything you want to be!” If I had a dollar for every time someone over the age of 45 said that to me growing up, I wouldn’t even need to work. Anything? Maybe not, but there are A LOT of options. Deciding what you want to do for the rest of your life can be a challenge. I assuming that if you’ve made it here, you have at least narrowed your search a little bit, and thats a big step! Four for you, Glen Coco! You go, Glen Coco.

So you’ve decided you want to go to hair school, now what? Great question! Or better yet, questionS… because today we’re breaking down our five most frequently asked questions. Now, I know what you may be thinking, “Five?! I have 2389046287624 questions!” Don’t worry, with 1,094 graduates and counting, we can definitely help. 1. How much does it cost?

Lets go ahead & address the elephant in the room, or in this case, on the blog. Tuition at the Keune Academy by 124 starts at $19,676 at our Lawrenceville campus. This includes EVERYTHING you’ll need to start your journey to cosmetology! The average cost to attend cosmetology school in Georgia ranges anywhere from around $10,000 to over $20,000 as of February 2016 from a sample of 15 accredited schools in the greater Atlanta area, which brings us to our next important question…

2. Can I apply for financial aid?

Yes! We are fully accredited by NACCAS. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national agency for the institutional accreditation of postsecondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences, including specialized schools.

3. How long is the program?

Our program lasts about 9 months, depending on the student! It is a full-time course, Tuesday-Saturday from 8 AM-3:30 PM. Part time courses are not available at this time.

4. Do you offer makeup classes?

Our program will prepare you for a Hair Design license, although we now offer makeup training within the curriculum.

5. Do you offer job placement?

We offer more than just job placement at Keune Academy by 124. Did you know that we are connected to a large network of salons, including Salon 124 and Genesis Salon by 124. A comprehensive list of job openings are continuously posted on our student Facebook page, and an updated salon contact list is always available to graduates. We are also committed to offering assistance in interview skills & resume building, as well as bi-yearly career fairs and student led fashion shows allowing future graduates to showcase their hard work and talent to salon owners and managers.
